Anytime you see Ctrl +..... , this means you'll hold the "control" button as you also hit another button. The control buttons are on the bottom corners of your keyboard.
Here are some great tools for document writing:
- Ctrl+C will Copy any selected text or items
- Ctrl+V will Paste what you've copied or cut
- Ctrl+Z will Undo that terrible, terrible thing you just did
- Ctrl+B will Bold your text
- Ctrl+U will Underline your text
And I'll leave you with 2 of my favorites for everyday use:
Alt + Tab will switch back and forth between your most recent windows. This is a great way to avoid reaching for the mouse when you want to switch back to that last window you were in.
Ctrl + Enter: When entering a web address in the "address bar", if it's a .com address, such as www.yahoo.com you can just type yahoo in the address bar, hit Ctrl + Enter, and the "www." and ".com" will be added for you. This will keep you from wearing out that W button on your keyboard. :)

You will find that by avoiding the mouse, you will learn to work a lot faster through the keyboard.
