Create a PERSONAL Blog

This would be for NON work related purposes; family pictures, videos of outings with the friends, planning get togethers.....

I'll show you some free blogging softare, one of which is this SAME application that you are viewing now: WordPress.

There is no REAL reason to pay for blogging, unless you are using it for business purposes and you NEED certain features that aren't available for free, but that isn't likely.

Here are the step you need to do, they may not follow this order:

1. Choose which site you want to blog with: WordPress, Blogspot, Blog.com..... There is usually a "Sign Up Now" or "Create Your Blog" button. Click it.


2. Choose a name or url for your blog. If I was with WordPress, I would try justin.wordpress.com (that name is taken)


3. Once you have chosen an available name, enter your email address and choose a password.


4. Check your email, and finish registration.

That's it. You now have a blog. Since this is not connected with work, you can post ANYTHING you want, and share it with anybody that you like.

Since we are using WordPress here at school, you may want to sign up with a WP account if you are new, just to help you along the way.

Here are the places to obtain a FREE Blogging account:

www.wordpress.com

www.blogspot.com (same as www.blogger.com )

www.blog.com

Each site will be slightly different. You may want to try all 3 to see which provides the best features for your specific needs. Most will be the same though.
